Creating new tasks in a smartlist don't always include the tags and location of the smartlist

fa11enangel says:
If I create tasks through webinterface or my Android App, they are created sometimes with the tags and location of smart lists and sometimes without. I stil cann't understand, why this is not always the same behavior.

Sometimes I create a task in a smart list and the tags and locations are added automatically to the task. Sometimes the task is without location and tag. This is a really bad behavior, because the task disappears after creating, if there are no tags and/or location added.

A new task will only inherit the properties of a Smart List if all the search criteria for the the Smart List are unambiguous. For example, if your search includes OR or NOT, a new task will not inherit any properties from the Smart List.

This page gives a list of the properties that will be inherited if all your search criteria are unambiguous.

Sorry for the inconvenience. I've added this to our list to investigate.

Thank you. I've follow this guide to build my smart list. Mine are the same as described and this blog post. I hope you can fix it.

Ok, this one was my fault but only partially. I forgot to delete @downtown in this Smart Lists search:
tag:na AND (location:@work or location:@downtown) AND NOT dueAfter:"2 weeks from today"

I've never had a location @downtown created. I think this was the problem, why the tag and location were sometimes inherited and sometimes not. They were really inherited, this is not a joke. But you can check this now by yourself.

I want this Smart Lists to inherit the location:@work and tag:na, but they are not:
tag:na AND location:@work AND NOT dueAfter:"2 weeks from today"

If i remove the following part, the Smart Lists works as expected and as described by the FAQ:
AND NOT dueAfter:"2 weeks from today"

I don't need the dueAfter to be inherited, but it would be great to see only tasks for the next 2 weeks and create tasks in the Smart List with location:@work and tag:na only.

Thank you for your help. I hope I could help you to improve the service. Remember the milk is great!
