This is not currently possible because each repitition of the task is its own unique task with its own notes.

However, this does work for tasks that are repeated using "every...". See this page for more details.

I would like to be able to have a combination of both. I want a task to repeat every week, but be able to add notes to an individual instance of that task. This way if this week's task has something specific about it, it doesn't show up on all later tasks.

I would use "after" but with certain tasks, they are not always complete on time, but I still want them due at the same time.

Thoughts?

It would be nice to have the option to inherit notes from the prior task or not for both 'Repeat After' and 'Repeat Every' tasks.

Tasks that are repeated using "Every..." will show on your task list whether the previous occurence of the task has been completed or not. This will not affect the due date that you set.
