Watching a Thread in Forums

derekh4 says:
When in the forums it would be great if you could tag/watch posts for replies so that you get emailed if anyone replies to the post (this is a pretty typical feature for user forums). It gets difficult to monitor multiple threads every day to see if anyone posted a reply.

derekh4,
It's not possible to subscribe to or to watch a forum topic; sorry for the inconvenience.

However, there are a few things you can do in the meantime: it's possible to subscribe to a specific forum's Atom feed, and you can always add a task with a topic's URL so you can check for replies.

Hope this helps!

Yes, I agree that I could setup an RSS feed for a specific forum but that relates to this: https://www.rememberthemilk.com/forums/help/12243/. So what I would have to do is setup an RSS feed an then setup custom filters for each forum thread that I want to watch to filter it into a new mailbox so that I can be notified of specific threads. Also, is it the expectation that the typical user will be able to do something like this?

This goes back to what I mentioned to "rajjan" here: https://www.rememberthemilk.com/forums/help/12242 about people wanting to "watch" the status of feature request and bug reports as indicated by here: https://www.rememberthemilk.com/forums/help/11848/
