delete key not working - ie9

I've searched the forum/faq, and there is a couple of articles from years ago saying it wasn't working on firefox (fixed) and isn't working on ie7 (not fixed, or updated).
Does anyone have the delete key working in ie9?
Is this scheduled to be fixed?
(when you're at work, sometimes you don't have the option over which browser you get to use).
