recently added task not selected

here i would like to add details (tags, notes...)
for the recently added task but the shortcusts dont work.
i have to select the task manually in the list.
is there a quicker way to do this?

You can select the task by clicking the link at the very top of RTM. It's shown briefly as the task is created. This works even if the smart list criteria removes it from view.
By the way, have you tried the Smart Add syntax, letting you add the meta info at the same time as you add the task name?
