partial wake battery usage

I've noticed RTM is using a lot of battery because it is preventing the phone from sleeping (I use Spare Parts battery history). My battery lasts longer if I use Titanium Backup to 'freeze' (disable) RTM. I have syncing set to once a day (but it should be auto anyway) and have tested it when I have nothing due that day and don't open the app after a fresh reboot. I think it may be the location checking. I really like this feature, but if it's going to devour my battery I'd like to be able to turn it off. I currently have it set to check every hour, but it is still the only app (other than Android System) keeping the phone from sleeping. If this is indeed the problem, perhaps the team could program the RTM app to quickly check location then put the phone back in sleep mode?
Or am I the only one with this problem? I am using a Samsung Vibrant (Galaxy S variant), and have tried it with stock and several ROMs, all with the same problem.

I'll try it with push sync disabled, and sync set to once per day - maybe that is the problem, not the location checking?

Would it be possible to submit an Android app issue report via our support system, if you haven't done so already?
Just select your issue from the list on the left, and follow the steps shown. If your issue isn't listed, click on "I'd like to report a new issue".
Your report should provide all the info that we need to investigate further, but we'll be in touch via email if we require any more details.
Thanks!

I have exactly the same problem on my HTC Desire Z.
I use RTM in push-mode. I charge the battery to 100% every evening and I disconnect my phone from 3G before going sleeping. Then in the morning I notice often that the battery lost 25% of change.
When I check the battery usage using the Android System Info application then in the section "partial wake lock" I can see that RTM is the top user, keeping the phone from sleeping.
This does not happen every day, but approximatelly once in three days.
If I set synchronisation to manual it does not happen.
From several Android forum I understood that this is one of typical programming errors, which can be easy fixed, if the right coding standard is followed. For example one of the previous Facebook applications had it, but they fixed it already some time ago...
I love the RTM and also your Android application. It is pitty that the Android application has this bug...
