Need to be able to sort COMPLETED tasks

I use RTM tasks for my grocery list as well (have a "grocery" tag, then go to the "completed" ones, and mark as uncomplete if I need to buy it).
Anyway - when you switch to the "completed" view, the "sort by" button disappears! I need it, because I specifically set up my grocery list to sort properly (with names like "canned - garbanzo beans", "dairy - milk", etc - so things would sort by categories.

It's not currently possible to sort completed tasks; sorry for the inconvenience.
But we appreciate your feedback! Thanks!

I also have issues with the frozen nature of the Completed status, and the lack of sorting and other functionality of those tasks.
For tasks that I can predict I may need to work with again, I don't Complete them, but I add a "complete" tag. Then I can filter them out of Smart Lists. Unfortunately it is cumbersome to filter them out of standard lists.
Related in a small way to this, is the use of repeating tasks as events. I want to be able to show all past instances of my repeating tags in my calendar, especially since I may have added notes to them. So, I don't want to complete them, because this removes them from iCal. I also can't add the "complete" tag to them, because it will appear on all future instances of the task/event too. The result is that they clutter my standard lists (although I filter them out of my Smart Lists by "repeating event" tagging and date).
I treat non-repeating events that I wish to keep in the calendar the same as any other task. I don't change the status to Completed, but add the "complete" tag.
Perhaps in time, RTM will provide more flexibility in these areas.
