Entering tasks without thrashing between keyboard and mouse?

rwv37 says:
I currently do something like this to enter a task:

1. Use the mouse to click on the "Add a new task" box.
2. Use the keyboard to type in "Wash dishes".
3. Use the mouse to click the new task to select it.
4. Use the keyboard to type in "dtomorrow", return, "fevery 30 years".

I would like to eliminate steps 1 and 3. If that is not possible, I would like to eliminate at least one of them (prefereably step 3). Fore example, I would like to just use the keyboard to type something like:

"Wash dishes\\\dtomorrow fevery 30 years", which would be interpreted by RTM as a combination of steps 2 and 4.

Is there some way to do something like this? Thanks in advance.

Hi rwv37,
You're in luck. :)

For step one, our keyboard shortcuts should help: simply press 't' to select the "Add a new task" textbox.

For step three, you can use Smart Add to add these properties to your task as you're adding it.

To summarize the keyboard steps:

t Wash dishes tomorrow *every 30 years Enter

And that's it! Hope this helps!
