Date problem with 'today' auto text

But, my tasks that are scheduled for : Due: Wed 3 Nov 10Set Due Date (d)
display a gray "today" on the right. I am getting confused when I try to update my lists on which tasks are for today and which were for yesterday.
How do I correct this issue?
