Shortcuts on laptop
benoit.maisonny says:
Hi,
I can't set priorities on my laptop, apparently because the 1, 2, 3, 4 shortcuts are tied to the keyboard numeric pad and not really to these figures: they work when I switch on the num lock, but this is not exactly a "short" cut any more, then.
Moreover, there doesn't seem to be any other way to set priorities. Is it possible that such an important task property is only available via a shortcut?
I came across this 4 year old post: http://www.rememberthemilk.com/forums/help/890/ so apparently this is no new issue.
My wish: either make so that any "1" key is accepted and not only the one on the num pad, or provide a button or something in the Web interface so that one can set priorities without using a shortcut.
Cheers,
Benoit

It seems strange to me as well that we can't simply click on the 1 2 3 in the Priorities box when viewing the task list to set priorities -- took me forever to figure out you can only set priority via keyboard.
I can't provide any help, but at least can provide a second voice for this!

The number should be accepted on the top row of the keyboard (where 1-0 are listed) as well as via the number pad.
Would it be possible to submit a Tasks & Lists issue report via our support system?
Please select the issue that you're experiencing from the list on the left, and follow the steps shown. If your issue isn't listed, just click on "I'd like to report a new issue" on the left.
Your report should provide all the info that we need to investigate further, but we'll be in touch via email if we require any more details.
Thanks!

Issue report posted.
Pressing 1/2/3/4 on the top keyboard row does not work, presumably because, on my laptop's Belgian keyboard layout, I need to hold shift to issue figures. So, I imagine all users with non-US layout (or more precisely, with figures accessed via shift) have the same issue.
Thank you both for you support.

Ah, yes, this is a known issue. I'll respond to your issue report too.
I missed your request for another means of setting the priority in your original post: "More Actions" | "Set Priority…" at the top is what you're looking for.
Hope this helps!
