Task repetitions

idirik says:
Hello,

I have two important problems with the repeat feature:

1. When I setup a task with "repeat every monday", the task is displayed under "ANYTIME" in the Gmail gadget. But AFAIC that's not right - the task should be displayed under "next week" with the date "monday".

I HAVE to set the due day to monday if I don't want that the task is displayed under "Anytime".

Why is the tasked displayed under "Anytime" although I've defined a repetition?

2. 1. When I setup a task with "repeat every monday", the task is also not displayed in the Google Calendar widget. Thats really bad!

If I set the due date to monday and add "repeat every monday", the Google Calendar Widget shows the task on the due date - but not on the following repetition days!

So if I check which tasks I will need to get done on monday in 2 weeks, the related task is NOT displayed (although I defined that the task should repeat every monday)!

???

When I add my tasks as iCalendar to my Google Calendar the repetitions are displayed in the calendar. But as described above, they are not displayed within the Google Calendar widget when I click on the blue icon in my calendar.

Hi idirik,
1. Setting the repeat doesn't affect the due date; it sounds like you'd want to set the due date to "next Monday" additionally.

2. That doesn't sound like it's working correctly; would it be possible to submit an iCalendar Feeds issue report via our support system and supply the URL for this iCalendar?

Thanks!

Regarding 2 it's normal RTM - only the next instance is shown. Once that is overdue, the next instance is created.

rajjan,
That's true for the site, but iCalendar should show all instances of a series.

As written, iCalendar shows all instances of a series, but not the Google Calendar widget!

I'm sorry I misunderstood; rajjan is right (of course he is; I should have known!) that RTM only shows the current instance of a repeating task until the due date of that instance is reached.
