Edit Task > due date > basic > Tuesday?

When I try to edit the due date on a task in the iPhone app and choose, say, "Tuesday" from the "basic" selection, it doesn't give me THE NEXT Tuesday, but some date back in early October. I can choose correct dates from "custom" and "postpone" works correctly... Any suggestions?
