Task not automatically selected when just created

raymoncy says:
Hello!

I read somewhere that, when a task is created, it is automatically selected in order to allow modifying its properties (date, repeated, etc.).
On my computer, this automatic "process" does not work. Is there an option to modify?

Thanks a lot

It's only selected if it stays on screen. If you add the task to a regular list or to a smart list where the task meet the smart list criteria it will be selected, otherwise you can access it by being fast when RTM notifies you that a new task has been created. Click on the notification.

Hi Cyrille,
This is something we recently changed with the addition of the Smart Add features. More information about Smart Add, and about the auto-selection changes, is on our blog (see "Bonus tweaks (read this!)").

The reason we did this is because we made it very easy to set these kinds of properties when adding a task. For example, for priority, you can just add "!1" to your task, e.g. "This task is really important due tomorrow !1". (Read more on our website.)

If you really want auto-selection, you can turn off Smart Add in your Settings (on the General tab), but this would remove this kind of functionality.

Hope this helps!
