Sleeping tasks

bgst says:
Is it possible to put a task to sleep for a certain period?

Say, if I need to order some tickets but the tickets will first be open for sale in two weeks. Would it be possible to create a task that is hidden and then pops up after two weeks?

Thanks

Take a look at this post from a while ago:

Probably that will suit your needs. It does for me ;-)

Hello, thats a topics I am interested in too. your suggestion in the post is a work around. but it is not really perfect. I worked with a lot of different to do lists and this was a feature I always loved: setting a time frame in which a task is "active":
examples:
- call someone in a agreed week
- buy tickets as soon as they are on sale
etc.

Is something like this really not implemented in RTM?

Your suggestion has the disadvantege, that I have to select the "show me"-period based on the due date. I think the requested feature should have a seperate start and due-date.
any hints for me whether this is implemented?

beidernikl,
RTM does not currently offer a start date; sorry for any inconvenience.

You could devise a similar method to the sleeper tags based on the added date, if that would be preferable.
