Notification bar icon

I've been using the free trial of Remember the Milk Pro and it's working very well on my Android phone so far. However, before I make the decision to fully upgrade, I'd like to know if the option to customise notification icons would be available in the future?
I know it seems like an unnecessary feature, but as I have a HTC Desire with a black notification bar, it's rather difficult to see the dark blue icon and it doesn't fit in with any other notification icons at all.
Also - I currently have 5 tasks due, but the icon says "1". Is this meant to show how many tasks are due or something else? Maybe task priority?

Thanks for reporting this; I've added it to our list to investigate.
Regarding the "1", it's just an icon, currently similar to Google Calendar's you'd get for an upcoming appointment.
