past due goals in busycal

I'm using the rtm ical calendar to show todos in my calendar as well.
This seemed to have worked fine - but now I've switched to using busycal, and all of a sudden, I have tons of 'past due' to dos by due date - most repititions of a 'recurring to do'.
The problem - I do not see those in rtm itself; and I can't complete/delete them in busycal, because the calendar is readonly.
So - what are these entries? Are they actually present in the remember the milk calendar? I can't seem to find them in the rtm web portal - and I'm a bit at a loss on how to get rid of them...
How can I find confirm whether this is a bug in busycal, or a bug in the calendar?

finally found the solution myself - no idea why, but the refresh interval seemed to have switched to annually... Once I set to refresh 'sooner' all the old todos finally vanished...
