Daily Tasks Checklist

I have certain things I must do everyday in my job and I want to set up RTM so I can't get sidetracked and miss them. I thought I had this figured out, but I can't seem to get the due date to act how I want.
Basically I set up a task like this: Task Name ^9am *every weekday #daily
But it automatically adding in todays date for the due date. Every day and daily didn't seem to work as options either. So what has happened is that now when I check it off, it automatically recreates the task. I am assuming this behavior is only for today and on any other day the task just won't have a due date? Is that right? Is there any way to set up a daily task list with times for the due date?
Thanks in advance.

When you specify a due time (i.e. ^9am) RTM automatically assigns today's date; it's not possible to specify a due time without a due date.
But from the way you describe it, it sounds like that's exactly what you want; why does specifying a date not work for you?

What about using priorities? I put !1 on anything that MUST get done. That way, I can create a smartlist that shows me all the tasks due today with that priority. If you wanna get crazy, you could create a list that shows you the things still yet to do:
priority:1 and due:today and status:incomplete
