igoogle broken?
(closed account) says:
I've been using multiple igoogle gadgets to display different lists for quite a while and today it has stopped working: they all display the same list. I have tried removing gadgets and recreating them and it doesn't fix the problem.
Any ideas

In case it helps, it turns out that the Netvibes version does work.
Netvibes appears to do much the same as iGoogle (only slower) so I'm using it instead for now (or perhaps forever!)

Mine stopped working a few days ago. Have cleared Firefox cache, deleted gadgets, reinstalled, all to no avail. Same behavior in IE as well.
andrewski (Remember The Milk) says:
There appears to be an iGoogle issue that is not keeping the individual gadget's details separate.
We're investigating this; sorry for the inconvenience in the meantime.

I can confirm I'm seeing the same issue - pro user and would appreciate you keeping us informed about what you find. Thanks for your time!

As a workaround, you can put a RTM gadget for the Google calendar on your iGoogle.
This gadget has the same problem as the iGoogle gadget, but at least you can see two separate lists.

Very same problem for me.
The current behavior is strange: all gadget instances are always associated with the same list; sometimes this list is the last one I have chosen on any gadget, some other times the list is "all tasks".

I added another copy of the iGoogle weather gadget to my page today and so far there seems to be no problem maintaining separate settings. Since it looks like iGoogle can still keep individual settings hopefully a solution will be found soon.
vroomboek says:
It seems RTM stores it's settings in another way than the Weather gadget, which uses standard Google functionality.
@andrewski, can you give us any updates on the investigation?

Let's hope so.
I confirm the problem: all gadget instances are associated with the same list.
gadget G1 associated with list L1; gadget G2 associated with list L2; as soon as G1 refreshes its content, it gets associated with L2.

Same problem. I was away since Thursday and came back to this. I have about 10-12 different gadgets showing different lists in 4 different igoogle tabs that I reference daily. This is disastrous for me. Please hurry with a fix.

Same here !

@peter.craig, thanks for the tip.
Netvibes version indeed does work properly, but actually only with Chrome.
In IE8, it opens several tabs and makes a mess of the titles.
In FF and Opera the gadget will not show the entire list, which i love(d) most of RTM.
So, now we're bound to Chrome and Netvibes when we want to use several rtm lists?

Netvibe Also works for Chromium running in Linux Mint. Set up a Netvibes account, set an RTM Tab with several gadget instances, each for a separate RTM Task List. Everything works fine.
Thanks for the tip. I may just keep Netvibes even after RTM solve the iGoogle problem.

This morning everything seems ok...maybe they have fixed this (important) problem. Thanks a lot.

We've worked around this issue in iGoogle; the gadgets should work correctly now.
