I just had the same thing happen to me today.

Okay so is anybody else having any syncing issues? Today I have added 6 tasks using tags on my EVO. They did not appear in the smart list for that tag?? I thought maybe I had made an error but when I checked on my PC at RTM. BAM they are where I expected they should be. I also have a task from today that was competed today, all done on the phone. When I checked on the PC it stilled showed on the today list?? So after snycing they should be the same.....right? I really need some help here to keep using this. I have already submitted a report.

So I think that this is related to the smart tagging when using android. On line looks good but in Android it needed a due date. When I added today to these tasks, they appeared in the Smart list in the phone. The criteria used for the smart list is as follows:
Searched for: tag:@maint and due:never or tag:@maint and due:today or tag:@maint and due:tomorrow or tag:@maint and duewithin:"1 week of today"
Again without due date - worked on line/not in phone.
With due date - worked everywhere.

To summarize, the Smart List was missing parentheses, and the Android app wasn't showing them.

(tag:@maint and due:never) or (tag:@maint and due:today) or (tag:@maint and due:tomorrow) or (tag:@maint and duewithin:"1 week of today")

or

tag:@maint and (due:never or due:today or due:tomorrow or duewithin:"1 week of today")

works correctly in both places.
