Quick add date issue

ianmcn says:
Hi
I've found a peculiarity with how RTM interprets the date from what you put in the quick add box. For example, I want to put a task for next Weds reminding me to warn people about server downtime the following day. I add a task "Warn people about server downtime tomorrow wed", thinking it will use "wed" as the date because it's the last word. Instead, a task is created called "Warn people about server downtime wed" with a due date of tomorrow. It seems the word "tomorrow" takes precedent over every other potential date. Is this deliberate or not? I would have thought the last word would take precedent.

Ian,

If you put the date which is part of the task name (and not the due date) in quotation marks "" it will not be seen as the due date.

You can also use the ^ to specify the due date, e.g. Warn people about server downtime tomorrow ^wed.

Hope this helps!
