Is a connection needed to use the application?

Hello all,
A couple of months ago my wife and I returned our Android phones for a simpler solution. I found out I could get an iPod touch for the same price as a year data service on the Android.
My question is, if I am using an iPod Touch with the RTM application on it, do I have to be connected to a WiFi network to be able to use RTM? By use I mean add tasks, complete tasks, etc. I know I would not be able to get tasks added via the web page on the iPod until I did a connection, but that will not be an issue. I just want to make sure I can use the application out and about town without WiFi connectivity.
Thanks for the help,
Rob Hix

If you're using an iPod Touch, the RTM app will work fine. You'll need a connection to synchronize, as you mention, but otherwise you can use it just fine offline.
Two caveats: 1) the Nearby features won't work correctly without a connection; that's how iOS retrieves your current location. 2) Reminders won't be sent to your iPod without a connection; they're sent via the Push Notification system and there's no way to trigger a reminder directly on the device.
Hope this helps!

Thanks, I figured that on the Nearby feature and the notifications. Luckily my life is simple enough that I do not need that fine-grained of a reminder.
Thanks for the help.
