Have you tried using the keyboard shortcuts to switch between tabs? I know its not a complete solution but it might be enough to allow you to use RTM with ie8.

@ali.satari - Good idea! however, I've tried it and it's switching tabs as expected, but the lists aren't loading even so. Aargh, so close! Thanks for the tip though :)

Hi again!

So after all RTM support pointed me to a couple of possible answers, and the one that did the trick was this:

In Tools > Internet Options > Advanced tab, make sure "Enable native XMLHTTP support" is checked.

It appears that mine was checked off by default when I installed IE8. Can't guess why though :o
