Creating a "today" list with completed items in it

geigerm says:
I'm trying to create a "Today" list with all completed items in it as well. From what I can see on different posts, this should work.

The search I have used is:

dueBefore:tomorrow OR completed:today

The search result doesn't give me the completed items in the list. Any suggestions in what I'm doing wrong or why this won't work?

This does work, but the problem is that you can't view incomplete and completed tasks at the same time; you have to switch to view them.

Hope this helps!

Ok, thanks for the help. Bummer you can't view both at the same time, but I can work with it.

The one downside is that for me it has almost 3,000 task completed. My guess is that because it is taking the "dueBefore:tomorrow" and including anything that was completed in that category. Which happens to be every task I have ever completed that had a due date.

Are you aware of any way to make the search that would fix this? Otherwise it seems the solution is to make a smart list for "completed today" tasks.

I'm not exactly sure what you're looking to see, but perhaps this would work for you?

(dueBefore:tomorrow status:incomplete) OR completed:today

Let me know if that works or, if not, what you're looking to see in this Smart List.

That worked beautifully! Thank you for the help.

This lets me have a smart list that shows today's tasks plus all overdue tasks. And, if I click on the "completed link" in the details box on the right it gives me all tasks I completed today.

Thank you very much.
