Is the ~ (tilde) not allowed in tag names? Alternatives?
Is the ~ (tilde) not allowed in tag names?
I was looking for a prefix for tag names that looks nice and makes the tags with this prefix appear on the bottom of a sorted list of tags (i.e., below tags starting with the @ character and a-z/A-Z). The tilde was the perfect candidate, but is removed from the tag name after entering it (on the web)... :(
Rationale: I have a few tags I use a lot (like @pc, @home, @web, wait, na) and others that I use less often. I'd like the frequently used to be on top so that they are immediately available on the iPhone App (old style) task entry screen without scrolling (this "requirement" does limit my number of usable tags...).
What might be an alternative?

andrewski (Remember The Milk) says:
The supported characters for tags are:
+ - . @ _
I use my tags similarly, and I use the _ (underscore) to separate a few tags that I want separate from the more common @-tagged ones.
Hope this helps!
