Battery drain
pantek says:
I installed the RTM-App on my Milestone two days ago and since then my battery drains within 8-10 hours. I tried to reduce the sync frequency to 4 hours and finally turned automatic sync off, but that doesn't change much.
While my phone used to run 2-3 days with a battery load, I have to reload it sometime in the afternoon now. Is there any trick to prevent that?
Thanks!

If you haven't done so already, would it be possible to submit an Android issue report via our support system?
Please select the issue that you're experiencing from the list on the left, and follow the steps shown. If your issue isn't listed, just click on "I'd like to report a new issue" on the left.
Your report should provide all the info that we need to investigate further, but we'll be in touch via email if we require any more details.
Thanks!

I find that having the GPS enabled with a very short re-check interval (ie, 2 minutes), seriously drains the battery, but as far as I'm concerned, that's somewhat expected.
If you have the GPS feature enabled, turning down the refresh interval or turning it off entirely (under Settings->Locations) may help. Even a 15-minute interval seems to be much better -- when I had it set at two minutes, the battery usage chart on my Nexus One showed it as using up almost as much juice as the display itself.
