Can't complete tasks, view other tabs

My new laptop is unable to use RTM for some reason--I can login and see my tasks, but I can't add a task or complete tasks. When I view another tab, it momentairly switches and then goes back to my inbox. I suspect that it's some browser setting but I'm not sure. I'm running IE7.0.5730.13 (per help...about), Java 1.6.0_07 (per add-ons version).
I've tried adding rememberthemilk.com to my trusted domains list and "enabling" all possible things in the security settings, clearing my cookies, cache, restarting PC and browser. No go. I even installed Gears just to see if it changed anything. Now my task list doesn't come up at all (hopefully it will after I uninstall Gears). Any other thoughts?
Thanks in advance!
Scott

Scott,
You might want to try using Firefox as a browser.
Good luck,

If you haven't done so already, would it be possible to submit a Logging In & Loading issue report via our support system?
Please select the issue that you're experiencing from the list on the left, and follow the steps shown. If your issue isn't listed, just click on "I'd like to report a new issue" on the left.
Your report should provide all the info that we need to investigate further, but we'll be in touch via email if we require any more details.
Thanks!

I found the following posting in this thread. Just tried it and it solved the problem for me.

If anyone else is having this problem, the solution that worked for me was to go to Tools > Internet Options > Advanced and check the box for "Enable Native XMLHTTP support". Many thanks to Andrew at RTM support for helping me with the solution!
