SmartAdd in Android

Love the Android quick task bar, but it does not support any of the SmartAdd syntax. Is it supposed to work and I am doing something wrong or is it a feature request? I hate creating a task only to have to open it and add tags, dates, etc.

Yes, Smart Add is supported if you use the Add Task bar at the top. If it's not working for you, can you give an example of a task that doesn't work correctly?
krysta says:
Same for me--trying to do #tag or ^duedate just puts that in the task name field in the Android app. Would love it if the SmartAdd stuff worked!!

@andrewski
As krysta says, if you type #tag or any of the other Smart Add syntax it simply adds it to the name of the task. I have tried priority, due date, and tag and none of them are working for me.

If you haven't done so already, would it be possible to submit an Android issue report via our support system?
Please select the issue that you're experiencing from the list on the left, and follow the steps shown. If your issue isn't listed, just click on "I'd like to report a new issue" on the left.
Your report should provide all the info that we need to investigate further, but we'll be in touch via email if we require any more details.
Thanks!

By the way, the '^' symbol on my HTC Desire is hidden behind three finger taps (and an extra tap to type letters again). It would be great if you could find another symbol for the due date on the Android.

The buttons that appear below the text input when entering a new task on iPhone (as seen in the first picture here) are awesome. I would love to see buttons like those in the Android app too!

i'm testing remember the milk on my desire right now and these iphone like buttons which jenstrumental mentioned would really be great and help me deciding upgrade to pro

Agreed. Smart Add is fine for basic things like "tomorrow" but is almost useless if you have to throw in any extended characters as in many cases it would be faster to just add the task the normal way.
