You can check our status page for info about upcoming versions. (New versions like yours aren't always listed immediately.)
Google updates Gmail versions separately, so various people can be on different versions. There's no way to change your Gmail version.

I over-exaggerated the problem. I still get my task bar next to my inbox, but in my gmail settings, the task 'tab' no longer shows up. Could this be a different Problem. I'm using chrome.
