Repeating tasks repeating on the wrong days

I have searched through the forum for this and not found anything. All the repeating task issues seem to be with tasks not repeating. I'm having the opposite problem, mine won't STOP repeating.
I have a task that shoudl repeate every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. When I completed it on Wednesday it rescheduled itself for Thursday. Without thinking I completed it again today (even though i didn't really need to do it). It created a new instance of itself for Friday. As a test I completed that one and guess what... it scheduled itself for Saturday. I've tried a few of my other tasks that are supposed to repeat on speciic days and they all seem to repeat daily. Am I doing something wrong?
Please help as I have many of these recurring type things that i need to set up or I will lose my mind.
