Sync with webcal as opposed to subcribing?

Is there any way to make the webcal writable from a calendar client? I'm currently using Evolution for linux to manage my "outlook" type items, and can subscribe to the to-do list easily, but I cannot write to it. I'd like to be able to make appointments there and have them upload to RTM. Any chance?
