When I have lists longer than 40 items (some of mine have hundreds of items), it becomes difficult and time consuming to sort them. I'd like to write a script that partially automates sorting by repeatedly asking me to compare 2 tasks and then updating the drag-n-drop order of those two tasks accordingly.

But I don't see a way to change the drag-n-drop order with the API currently, hence this idea post.

In theory, with this API in place a user could also write a machine learning function to learn how to sort their tasks over time, though training it would probably take a long time.
