Hi everyone,
I thought I'd post this just in case anyone else might find it useful. I went back over past forums-- remembering that there was a way to view RTM in a Firefox sidebar-- and voila! This procedure puts the igoogle gadget in a Firefox sidebar. It's big enough to see, editable, etc.

I also have a "rightbar"addon in my Firefox so the sidebar is located on my righthand side ( https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/7865 ). So now it looks a lot like my gmail setup. Actually, I've discovered an added benefit to this setup. Not every starred email is a task for me and when I goof off and go shopping online, that sidebar stays open and that RTM task list makes me feel like I should be working. When I do have an email that is a task, I quickly send it to RTM via email and am able to immediately edit the information so I don't end up with a gigantic "Inbox tasklist."

Open your bookmark manager in firefox and add a new bookmark with this url :
http://www.rememberthemilk.com/services/modules/googleig/
and check the box "Load this bookmark in the sidebar"
