Reminders working intermittently

I have my account set up to send me reminders for tasks with due times, at the time due, via Google Talk. I get reminders for some tasks and not others. For example, a task due at 5:45 this morning I got a reminder, but not one due at 9am. I receive the tasks via GTalk for Blackberry, and I am always logged in.

Would it be possible to delete the reminder account (via the trash icon on the right in RTM's Settings) and then readd it? This should restart the reminder service.

Also, have you tried any other IM, SMS, or email reminders to confirm whether they're working at all for you?
