Two way sync via .iCal and Thunderbird

I'm using a combination of Thunderbird and Lightning, and after adding tasks in Thunderbird, they don't appear in the online version of RTM. is the sync over iCal two way?

I'm not sure if you're just subscribing to your iCalendar, or if you're using a Thunderbird extension to manage your RTM tasks, but our iCalendar service is read-only.
