Hi,
I'm trying to get my ADD mind around some type of system to keep me on track. I like the concept of RTM of being in the cloud so I don't have to deal with paper.
I seem to stray when breaking up big tasks into small ones. So, know I want to use RTM. Smart list coding seems like a little over my head.
Do you recommend using tags instead of having tons of lists? Gee I wish there were some sample sandbox setups that I could visually take a look at.
thanks, any links are helpful

I ended up going with tags over multiple project lists. The lists just seemed redundant to me. So every task gets put into an "All Tasks" list. And every task gets assigned a tag when I create it.
Then I created four smart lists. "Today", "Tomorrow", "Overdue", and "Horizon". The first three are self-explanatory. And my on-the-horizon list shows me all tasks due within the next 7 days.
The wonderful add-on "A Bit Better RTM" allows you to hide all of the other lists that are not in use. The developer made it for Chrome and Firefox.
That's what works for me, but everyone is different. That is what is great about RTM. It allows for that customization.
Good luck!

RTM is pretty flexible, so you'll get a variety of answers as people describe what works best for them. (For what it's worth though, my organization is almost completely tag-based, and I add Smart Lists for tag searches or other searches that I use frequently.)
There are plenty of example methods described around the forums. For a few, check out this long thread of useful searches or the Tips & Tricks forum in general.
