High cpu usage with Chromium (~ Google Chrome)
norz says:
I'm using chromium (chrome plus package) 4.0.222.3 on windows xp pro sp3, and sometimes when I check chromium's task manager, I see rtm using 20% cpu.
When I kill the tab's process and reload rtm, cpu usage goes back to
normal (between 0 and 1%).
This is on a 2.2 Ghz core 2 duo.
I understand that I'm using a beta version for my browser and don't have much more info on how to reproduce this behaviour, but still, this is a bit strange and could be annoying for the other users also, so I wanted to let you know. :)
Thanks for rtm, ciao! :)

It'd be interesting to test in the stable (3.x) version of Chrome to see if the issue is specific to 4.
Also, I'd be curious if disabling Gears would make a difference, as Gears seems to have the potential for all sorts of wacky behavior on the website.

Thanks for your answer, I don't have much time to test right now, but I'll let you know if I can test it with Chrome stable and without Gears. :)
