ToDo items ordering
apbuzzz says:
Hello! For a long time i used simple notepad for my todo lists. For now i trying to use RTM and faced with such problem.
For example i have simple list like this:
write a letter for jane.
buy milk.
buy bread.
call peter.
And if i need to go to the market and buy food right now, i need to reorder my list like this:
buy milk.
buy bread.
call peter.
write a letter for jane.
With RTM i can use such methods to do what i whant:
Priority.
Due date.
Alphabetical sort(using a, b, c, ... etc prefix in tasks)
But it's not convinient for me, i ve just whant to move several items in list to the up.
My question is, how to do that.
With best wishes Apbuzzz.
andrewski (Remember The Milk) says:
Your tasks will always be ordered either by priority, due date, or alphabetically. If you don't want to use priority or due date, you could also prepend something to the task name, e.g. "! Buy milk".
Also, you could organize your tasks by "context", so if you tag your groceries with "grocery" or "errand" you could see those when you're set to go out, etc. Then you could view all your "errand", "phone", or "sitting" tasks and choose which to do that way.
Hope this helps!
