Picking up tasks not in any list

tsasaki says:
Can I pick up (hopefully as a smart list) tasks not in any list ?
I want to confirm that every task is in the list where it should be in.

Oh... I was a fool.

Tasks not in any list = Tasks in Inbox

That is true, right ?

Yes, AFAIK. But maybe not as foolish as you think. I have a "Check" smartlist for tasks with no tags, due dat e or priority. It is possible for a task to got lost in my lists, and occasionally they do for various reasons, some of which can be forgetting to tag, set a due date or prirotize them. For the ones where I forgot to give them essential properties, they usually are on my Check list, which I check a couple of times a week. There are tasks that are ok to be here - I just haven't gotten around to or don't yet know all the appropriate tags and so forth, so they live on this list for a while. I ignore them until I'm ready to process.

This list also excludes my "Someday" list because these tasks often don't have tags or priorities while they're waiting for the right time to start on them.

Hi tsasaki,
Technically there's no such thing. Every task is in a list; even the Inbox is a list (just one with some special features).

Certainly if you organize your tasks in other lists, then tasks in the Inbox would be the ones you'd be looking for, perhaps among others?

Hi, cdhsman, thanks for your reply.
and I like your idea of "Check" smartlist.

andrewski, thanks for your technical followup.
>very task is in a list; even the Inbox is a list
This gives me clear understanding.

I'm now looking for android based PDA available in Japan.
When I get it, I will purchase Pro account (and app).
