overdue items showing on today

I am a terrible procrastinator and as such have lots of overdue tasks. They show up on the today view on the ipod touch. Is there anyway to stop this?

I am in the same boat. Short answer: no. Better answer - make a smartlist of items due today only, and use that instead.
