OFFLINE DOESN'T WORK WITH SNOW LEOPARD

Just upgraded to snow leopard and found that Remember the milk offline access with Safari doesn't work. So, I installed Firefox and google gears easily allowed me to install gmail and google calendar for offline access. Each time, it first asked me to allow offline acces, then asked me to allow a desktop shortcut. Remember the Milk on the other hand only asked me to allow offline access but NEVER asked me to put a desktop icon there. I tried simply opening the browser with the internet turned off and clicking on my bookmark for my RTM account, but it simply doesn't work. So now I have no offline access where it had been fine before.
Has anyone else had this problem!?

We've had some sporadic problems with Gears over the past few months. It could be that you're encountering those.
That said, you could try clearing your cache and your local Gears folders. That may get it sufficiently scrubbed to start over from scratch.
This is assuming the Gears shortcut does something that a browser shortcut (really easy to create) doesn't?
