google gears does not work on firefox 3.5 (mac OS X 10.5.7)

hello, after the update to firefox 3.5 I am not more able to have google gears working -- it does not even install (the process starts but it ends with a message stating incompatibility)

hence, no RTM offline...

any hint?

Unfortunately, there's no way to say when Google Gears will support Firefox 3.5.1 on OS X. (It already does on Windows.)

Keep in mind that we've been having some sporadic but consistent trouble with Gears and RTM.

btw, I dont know if this other question sounds naif, but is there any way to use firefox offline support instead of gears? or it can be in RTM future?
