I have a repeating task that is to occur daily. If I don't get to the task, I still need to accomplish it for that day, but it becomes less helpful to have all of my overdue tasks shown in bold at the top of my list.

Ideally, only the oldest overdue task would be displayed. So, if I had a task that I didn't do two days ago, yesterday's instance and today's instance should not be visible until that task is completed.

I have a series of smart lists in play, but am not sure how to make this happen. Something interesting is that it isn't consistent, either; some repeating tasks seem to only show one instance of the task, while others have a list over a number of days.
