filter by Tag, or filter by List???

If you're using the extension, check out the Features page (there's a video too). You want to click on "Set task view here" to change it.
If you're using the gadget, go to Options | Settings, and you can select the List there. Unfortunately it's not possible to filter by tags in the gadget, but you could use a Smart List that searches for tag:foo, for example.
