What does "reminded by mobile..." do?

Maybe your carrier doesnt convert email to SMS? seems to be a common problem.

I have contacted T-Mobile who first told me that Email-to-SMS was not supported and then put me though to a techy who had never heard of this.
So now the question is "Does anyone else use mobile notification to a T-Mobile account?"
