timezone disappointment
paleolith says:
Well, I thought RTM was going to work for me. It has a lot going for it. (I've been using an old reminder program for a long time, but it is buggy and the producer doesn't listen.)
So it was a big disappointment to find out that RTM is so dumb about time zones. Set up my morning reminders for 8:00 AM, fly across three time zones, and they are all wrong by three hours! I had the impression from looking in the forums that the only problem was the opposite -- unable to tie a reminder to a specific time zone -- but apparently my initial impression was totally wrong.
Well, if anyone knows of a program or service which handles time zones more intelligently, please post. I only need very basic reminders, no iPhone, no SMS, etc etc. Floating window would help. Or if there's a specific implementation planned in RTM -- more than the "we'll look into it" that I got from support -- that would be of interest.
