Ok, so I was going to try to make three different tasks "Empty litter box" one that repeats Monday, one that repeats wednesday, etc...

But, I use a smartlist "due: Today" to quickly have a list of what's due today. How do I also get these three repeating tasks to have their due date be "today" when it's "their turn"?

You don't have to do anything. When today is Friday, the current instance of that repeating task will be shown among the other tasks due the same day.

Well, that didn't work last time I tried, but I'll try it again. Just to be clear, are you saying that a task that repeats "Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday" (without the quotes) will appear in a smart-list search for "due:today" on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday? Because that's what I want to happen.
