Sms reminders for Mobiles in India
(closed account) says:
Hi, I just want to request for sms reminder service for Indian users.
I tried using the email
i.e.,
91@airelap.com
but it is not working.
I am unable to know how to whitelist "rmilk@reminder.com" either.
So, if possible can RTM make "airtel" and other prominent mobile service providers, such as "Idea", "Vodafone", "bsnl",etc for sake of Indian users.
Currently I use 'Google calendar' to send me sms reminders for my mobile

Hi RTM team,
We would love to see SMS support for India.
Vodafone is a big network in India (earlier called Hutch) but it does not seem to support SMS through Email unlike Airtel.
Thanks for a great tool!

hi both,
the SMS service is really dependent on whether your telco is providing an Email-to-TXT/SMS service. RTM doesn't host its own SMS service and therefore we rely on whatever is offered by the Telcos.
I have been trying to look for airelap.com but I can't find something on the web (also only 7 google search results of which one is for RTM ;) )
For Airtel, I have been browsing their website, I can't seem to find something related to SMS-to-Email, so I guess the best option would be if you give them a call and see whether they can help you on the phone with it.
As long as you are able to provide an email address that will forward these emails to SMS.
There are some services available on the internet;
http://www.ipipi.com/email_to_sms.htm
http://www.smsmail.com
(they also have India listed; http://www.smsmail.com/?c=prices)
