Escape doesn't work

When I'm writing in a field (could be a new task, could be entering a due date, wherever) and I hit "esc", I expect to exit the field - I feel like that's been the case before. But for the past few weeks I've noticed it does nothing.

I'm using the latest version of Safari.

Again, before when I did this it would enter the tag and close out the task and save it. Now I have to click outside of the box to close/save it. Which defeats the purpose of keyboard shortcuts.

hit Tab then Escape after adding a tag. It should add the tag and close the text box without having to go anywhere near the mouse!
