RTM toolstrip not visible in gmail message view

I have RTM intalled for Firefox 3.0.3 in openSUSE.
When I'm in the inbox view I see the RTM panel down the RHS
When I'm in the message view, I don't see the toolstrip (dunno a better way to describe the additional RTM buttons and dropdowns..)

Any ideas?

The tasks pane will only display in the list of messages view (not on individual emails), sorry.
