Now that Google Chrome has said they WILL support userscripts, it makes more and more sense to port the GMail extension to a regular userscript instead of using a Firefox-specific technology.

In addition, this will make the functionality available for all of us that uses GMail in a Site-Specific Browser like Mozilla Prism (check it out, it's awesome!) or Fluid (Mac only). Both of these supports userscripts, but not extensions.

Can we have some sort of official "comment" on this, please?
